In a DC Universe raid, players will fight alongside a major hero or villain (depending on the player’s alignment) in a series of missions ultimately culminating in an important encounter with the nemesis of that hero or villain as the “boss.” Fighting alongside this hero or villain will create a form of reputation with that character for the player and may eventually result in the player receiving some form of gear from him or her. Consequently, given that raiding is a big thing in the game, the concept of leveling up fast in DC Universe Online is very much discussed by gamers.

While working with a hero or villain, players will get to participate in story-lines created for the game and will get to interact directly with the DC world they know.
